What is biocultural history?

Centre for Biocultural History

Biocultural History
Human history is the result of a complex interaction between biological and cultural processes. We introduce the notion of Biocultural History to pioneer a solution for a fully integrated concept of natural and cultural history. Read more about specific projects on our research pages.

The centre is home for a broad spectrum of expertise covering archaeology, anthropology, bioinformatics,  ecology, genetics, history of science, human evolutionary studies, and literary studies. Read more about members of the centre in the people section.

The Centre for Biocultural History is supported by a Pilot Centre Grant from AU IDEAS. Research for the project "Where are you from?" is supported by the Danish Ministry of Education.
